Overview

We are looking for a keen Brand Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and experience in the development of brand strategy and visual brand identity. You will play a key role in creating visually engaging and cohesive designs that communicate the essence of a brand and align with its overall vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Working with and reporting into Creative Director and strategic leadership, liaising and working with clients to understand objectives and deliver creative briefs.
  • Brand Strategy & Visual Identity: Translate brand strategies into cohesive and compelling visual identities, ensuring consistency in messaging, themes, and styles across all mediums.
  • Design for Web & Online: Implement visually striking designs that can work online for digital experiences along with marketing campaigns, ensuring brand integrity and user engagement.
  • Film & Photography: Balancing the right tone, treatment and feel for brand content that spans motion and photographic based creative.
  • Design for Campaigns: Produce high-quality designs for campaign and promotional materials, for both offline and channels including social media.
  • Brand Guidelines: Develop, refine, and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency in tone, style, and visual presentation across all touchpoints.
  • Brand Messaging & Voice: Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to align visual design with the brand’s messaging, ensuring the brand voice is reflected in the visual assets.
  • Understanding: Taking on briefs and being resourceful, working independently whilst having a strong and passionate team around you to support and guide you when needed.
  • Communication and Management: Keeping in close contact with project and account managers to deliver on time and on brief, being able to highlight concerns and risks and keep dependencies highly visible in order to work efficiently.
  • Audience Technology: Awareness of design across devices for responsive and optimised mobile user experiences.

Tools and Skills:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Figma: Proficiency in web design and prototyping.
  • Image Editing: Strong skills in photo manipulation and retouching.
  • Video Editing (Bonus): Experience with After Effects, Premiere, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Presentation skills: Ability to create world-class presentations.
  • Google Suite: Familiarity with Docs, Slides, and Sheets for collaboration.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience:

  • BA(Hons) or similar in relevant subject.
  • At least 3 years experience working in a similar role, ideally agency side.
  • Proven experience as a Visual Designer with a diverse portfolio showcasing both digital and print design projects.
  • Experience with key design principles and fundamentals.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, to create standout visuals that align with the brand's style.
  • Advanced use of Figma or similar for designing digital and online presentation based outputs.
  • Experience in creating interactive elements and motion graphics to enhance brand storytelling and elevate online experiences is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work with constructive and progressive criticism.
  • As much a finisher as you are a creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
